Kalpavriksham Trust, in collaboration with Privaram Cancer Hospital, successfully conducted a Cancer Awareness Session at Aadharavu Home Rehabilitation Centre, Periyapalayam.
The session was led by Ms. C. Shanthi, Social Worker from Privaram Cancer Hospital, who delivered an insightful and impactful talk on breast cancer, cervical cancer, HPV vaccination, and menstrual hygiene.
A total of 115 participants (56 women, 54 men, and 5 staff members) actively took part in the session. The program focused on:
- The importance of early detection of breast and cervical cancers
- The role of HPV vaccination in cancer prevention
- Awareness of symptoms, risk factors, and screening methods
- Promoting proper menstrual hygiene practices
The session significantly enhanced awareness among residents and staff, encouraging them to adopt preventive healthcare practices and prioritize regular screenings.
This initiative reflects a strong commitment to improving community health through education and early intervention. The collaboration was highly appreciated by Aadharavu Home, and it stands as a meaningful step towards building a health-conscious and informed society.
