Kalpavriksham Trust, in collaboration with Privaram Cancer Hospital, successfully conducted a Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Program at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Avadi, Chennai.
The awareness session was delivered by the team from Privaram Cancer Hospital and facilitated by Mrs. Shanti, Social Worker, who engaged students with valuable information on the importance of early detection, preventive measures, and cancer awareness. The session also highlighted the significance of HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention, helping students understand how early screening and vaccination can play a vital role in saving lives.
The interactive program helped students gain a deeper understanding of breast and cervical cancers, their early symptoms, available screening methods, and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices. A total of 55 students, 2 Staffs actively participated in the session, making it a meaningful step toward building health awareness among young individuals.
The institution appreciated the initiative and the efforts of the team for educating students on such an important health topic and creating awareness that contributes to a healthier and more informed society.
