Kalpavriksham Trust, in collaboration with Privaram Cancer Hospital, organized a Cancer Awareness Talk at Veecare College of Nursing, Vanagaram, with the active participation of 71 nursing students. The session highlighted the importance of prevention and early detection of cervical and breast cancers, cancer vaccines, and the critical role of peer education, with a strong focus on women’s health.Key discussions emphasized the significance of mammograms, Pap smear tests, and the HPV vaccine in reducing cancer risk. The speaker addressed vital topics such as cancer risk factors, screening procedures, and the benefits of timely detection, motivating students to adopt proactive and preventive health practices.Participants were educated on how regular screenings and preventive care can safeguard long-term well-being and were encouraged to make informed health decisions. This initiative aimed to create a lasting impact by spreading awareness, promoting early diagnosis, and fostering a culture of preventive healthcare within the community.
