Jothi Madhar Sangam, in association with the Women’s Indian Association (WIA), Kalpavriksham Trust, and Privaram Cancer Hospital, successfully organized a Cancer Awareness Program for Women at its premises in T. Nagar on 17th December 2025 (Wednesday). The program was graced by Dr. Shyamala, Vice President, WIA, who presided as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of women’s health and cancer prevention. An insightful and informative awareness session was conducted by Mrs. C. Shanthi from Kalpavriksham Trust, Privaram Cancer Hospital, Valasaravakkam.The program focused on creating awareness about breast and cervical cancer, emphasizing early symptoms, the importance of timely screening, and the crucial role of vaccination in prevention. Participants were educated on the different stages of cancer, and common myths and misconceptions were addressed through clear and practical explanations. The session encouraged women to adopt proactive health practices through early detection and preventive care. More than 65 women benefited from the program, gaining accurate knowledge, increased confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions regarding their health and well-being.
