On 11th August 2025, a meaningful health initiative was conducted at Nithiya Malli Magalir Mandram, Chennai, focusing on HPV awareness and cervical cancer prevention.
The session was led by Dr. Banu Priya and Dr. Manikandan, organized by Kalpavriksham Trust in collaboration with Privaram Cancer and Research Institute, Valsaravakkam, Chennai. The event aimed to educate 4th-grade girl students and their parents about the harmful effects of HPV (Human Papillomavirus), its link to cervical cancer, and the importance of the HPV vaccination as a preventive measure.
Participants learned how HPV vaccination can significantly reduce the risk of cervical cancer and why early vaccination is essential. Parents expressed their gratitude for the clear, informative explanations and the compassionate approach taken by the doctors.
This initiative reflects Kalpavriksham Trust’s and Privaram Cancer and Research Institute’s continued commitment to community health, cancer prevention, and empowering families with knowledge to make informed healthcare decisions.
